Why Rent A Storage Unit?

Updated: Feb 27, 2020

Now that is a good question! If you have been considering renting a storage unit but still are not sure yet, this is the blog post to read.

Okay, let's be honest. There are always reasons to have a storage unit. Unless you live in a manion, most people cannot say they have too much storage space. Usually, they just don't have enough. That's why storage unit facilities exist! We are here to help.

Seasonal Items

This is the most common reason people get a storage unit. Seasonal items and decorations take up a lot of space and only go up once a year. With a storage unit, you do not have to worry about where to store them the other 11 months you are not using them. They will be safely kept in your storage unit, out of site and out of mind.

Moving or Renovations

Moving is no easy task and you definitely need a ton of room. Sometimes you have to move out of your current home before you can move into the new home, and that is tough. People often will rent a storage unit to move most of their things into during the transition for a few months. This allows you to slowly get moved into your house without crowding your new space. **If you stay shorter than 3 months, rent is an extra $10 a month.

Camping/Fishing/Snow Gear

Not everyone has the luxury of a large garage to store their things in. Especially if you are living in an apartment. Renting a small storage unit can be great for storing camping, fishing, and snow gear. These are used only a few times a year or sometimes only every 2 or 3 years if you are like us.

Paintings and Artwork

A storage unit is a break space to keep artwork or paintings that you are not using right now, but do not want to get rid of. It's a safe space for them where they will not get knocked around like they might in a garage.

Extra Furniture

Maybe you have a couch or mattress you are not using right now? Maybe you have an heirloom from your family? Maybe you're waiting to sell a piece of furniture? Maybe you just do not have to room to store it right now... Well, a storage unit is your answer to all these problems! It is perfect for storing moving boxes as well!

Just A Little Extra Space

Ultimately, if you are looking for a little extra space, rent a storage unit. Whether you have a small apartment or a house, there is always need for a little extra storage space for your things. Whether it be seasonal, too big, or unusable right now, a storage unit will be perfect for you.
